The 'After' shot shows the new corner of this courtyard garden with its small tree (which has  fragrant flowers) placed behind the bench. Also, there is a blue Clematis starting to climb up the  arbor.
The shrubs chosen for the garden bed are mostly evergreen which makes a cheery view even in   winter and the colour scheme features shades of blue and yellow which show up well against the   dark hedge.
The clay pots were exchanged for larger ones that were a more natural colour to blend in rather than  be the focal points. The window well is now somewhat hidden but not obstructed and there is  another beautiful blue Clematis planted at the other end of the arbor.
